TRILATE – Trilateral Research on Optimal Investments in Cross-Border Energy Infrastructure

The TRILATE project focuses on analyzing the energy transport infrastructure needed for industrial clusters in the Belgian, Dutch, and German regions, where high energy demand meets limited renewable deployment potential. It develops scientific models at the level of industrial processes, plants, and energy systems, linking them to an integrated analysis of cross-border energy infrastructure. By providing insights into optimal investments and infrastructure planning, TRILATE aims to support efficient and sustainable energy supply in highly industrialized regions. The project launched on 2021-10-01 and will end on 2026-01-31.
